A few months ago, I got to join @CommsNinja (AKA Amy Lewis) on the couch for a heart to heart Tech Confession. The former host/diva of Geek Whisperers allowed me to open up and confess my software defined moment. During my therapy session, we analyzed market shifts, user adoption, and common software defined use cases.
The analysis allowed us to discover that many IT organizations have codependency issues. While many applications will continue to be deployed using traditional infrastructure, many other workloads are being deployed successfully leveraging the flexibility, simplicity, and automation of software defined infrastructure.
For most IT organizations, when it comes traditional vs software defined infrastructure, the treatment is very much an “AND” and not an “OR”.
You can check it out here (and please excuse the over the top “bad acting disorder”).
